iMovie - Pretty good in a pinch

One thing I love to do is create.  To take a vision of something in your mind and make it a reality.  Whether using Lightroom for photographs or Premier Pro for video, both of these are tools that can be used to help in the process.  But they are big and cumbersome at times.  To the point of throwing cold water on an idea before it gets out the gate.  Sometimes I just want to get from A to B with the least amount of hassles.  So I decided one day to create a movie project solely on my iPhone 7+.  I took about 7 videos when I was at a park next to a local river.  A glorious spring Sunday afternoon it was.  One of those days that you wished you could bottle up and save for the future!

Once the videos were taken, the project wouldn't come to completion until almost a month later when I was on a mini-vacation.  A time when I actually could turn off the high paced world I live in (and love mind you!).  During that mental battery recharge period I sat down with my iPhone and decided to give iMovie a chance.  For those who have never used it iMovie is a video editing app from Apple product free of charge (usually preloaded on your phone at time of purchase).  A half hour later I had a finished product.  It wasn't too hard since I was tailor making it for Instagram which has a 60 second limit on posted videos.   I like the result.  Best thing was I created it and didn't get stressed during the process.

iMovie is a great tool to create movies on the go.  Basic, simple and effective.  From A to B with no hassles.  Mission accomplished!

Have a great week!

Mike
