Mike Dvornak Photography | A foggy Christmas morning.

A foggy Christmas morning.

I just woke up - it's Christmas morning and the sun has yet to cast its glow on a forecasted foggy morning here in southern Louisiana.  Ugh.  Warm muggies of 75F forecasted today. One of my first warm Christmases here in the south as a kid was in 1974 - just as warm and muggy as today. As I take a second sip from my steaming cup of coffee, I ponder the day and this past year and the dreams of good things to come.

First let me thank all of you who followed my blogs during the year.  Readership is into the hundreds which sometimes surprises me.  But I am appreciative nonetheless.  My whole goal of this venue is to give back to the community things that I have learned and could be useful to anyone who dares to enter the world of digital photography.  You can never run out of things to give away.  You can always give someone something, big or small.

Lots of changes this year as well.  Change for the better is good, and it does has its challenges.  I'm a creature of habit, as most of us are.  But change to the hope of something better is worth the risk.  Go out there and find one small thing that you know you can change and then do it.  Life will become fresh again and you will find that you are starting to take control of your future, even if is reflected in some small way only known to you.  This breathes a new hope into you.

So to my readers, family and friends I wish you a very Merry Christmas.  May you find rest, peace and hope in this day and may your future be bright as we enter the new year.

Mike
