Embrace your bad photography
Face it. Your photography stinks. And you know it. There. I said it. (Well, you didn't need to be that harsh about it Mike....)
Actually it is a conversation I've had with myself for many years, including last week. Join the crowd.
Here's a reality check. Every great photographer started out as a crappy photographer. Period. You just didn't get to see it. All you see is their wonderful shots. But there is a pile of crap that stinks to high heaven that you have never seen. I know I have a bunch of bad stuff thankfully no one has ever seen!
In our world of who's the best and upcoming, nobody talks about those lonely days of learning the art of making a great photograph. But I say embrace those days. Do you know why? Because if you do, your work will improve, you will get those shots you only imagined about.
Keep walking - keep doing - keep making photographs. The more mistakes you make, the better your future will be.
Do not let the fear of failure keep you from walking down a path to success! Embrace your bad photography to learn from it. Then you will start seeing your work improve.
Have a great week!
